Posters

• All posters are required to be displayed throughout the meeting. Please, ensure that the posters are placed on the boards on the first day of the meeting.

• Poster authors are required to be available for presentation during the Poster Session, on Aug, 8, 16h40 – 18h

Poster Format

• The regular poster size is 35 inches (width, 90 cm) by 50 inches (height, 120 cm). Please, do not prepare a poster that covers the full area.

• Make your poster legible from at least 2 meters away

• Language: English

Instructions for submitting the abstract

Conference Topics

All abstracts dealing with the conference themes listed below are welcome:

1. Household and industrial pests

2. Medical and veterinary pests

3. Wood-infesting pests

4. Application technology

5. Pest management programmes

6. Rural Hygien

Rules for abstract Submission

1. All abstracts must be submitted online using the forms on the Conference website.

2. Abstracts must be in English and with a maximum of 250 words

3. Each subscription entitles you to one paper (oral presentation) and one poster presentation.

4. The ICUP Organizing Committee will review each abstract for scientific merit and whether appropriate for the ICUP program.

5. Abstracts must be based on original material, and results should not have been previously published.

6. Abstracts submitted for a ‘presented paper’ may be accepted only as a poster presentation.

7. Authors submitting an abstract for a ‘poster presentation’ may be requested to consider giving a ‘presented paper’ at the Conference. In this case, a full manuscript will be required.

8. Authors with accepted abstracts are requested to register until March 17th , at the early registration fees, to confirm their presentation.

Function of the Abstract

The abstract submitted on November 2 will not be published.

The function of the brief abstract is to provide the Conference Organizing Committee a clear understanding of the subject of the presented paper or poster. This will help in positioning the paper in the Conference schedule.

The final poster or manuscript must follow the general topic presented in the abstract, but there may be slight changes in the title and the authors. If the changes will significantly change the topic presented, the Organizing Committee should be notified before the manuscript is prepared.
